My photography is a search for the ephemeral — for fleeting moments where light, movement, and emotion converge to whisper something beyond the frame. Deeply inspired by the impressionist painters, I strive not to capture reality as it is, but as it feels. Like brushstrokes on canvas, my images are shaped by atmosphere, rhythm, and a quiet reverence for nature’s poetry.
In my recent work, I explore the symphony of dawn in the Hula Valley — a place where tens of thousands of migrating cranes awaken with the rising sun. Standing in the mist before light breaks, I feel a sense of stillness that borders on the sacred. The soft silhouettes of birds taking flight become not just subjects, but expressions of freedom, fragility, and harmony. These photographs are my attempt to translate that emotional resonance into visual form — not through perfection, but through presence.

Soft beams from the headlights sweep gently across a barely visible dirt path, winding toward the lake. It’s still dark — almost nothing can be seen. After a quiet fifteen-minute ride, the engine is turned off, and a deep stillness settles over the land. In the hush, distant bird calls begin to echo - soft, reverent notes that seem to rise from centuries of tradition.
This moment unfolds in the Hula Valley, a lush sanctuary in northern Israel along the Great Rift. Twice a year, over 500 million birds pass through during their migrations. Among them are some 30,000 cranes who arrive in autumn and linger through winter.
As the first light touches the horizon, I lean into my camera, heart quietly racing. The lake awakens. A lone cry swells into a chorus - a prayer to the morning. Wings rise. Silhouettes take flight, carving delicate, calligraphic lines into the sky.
Through this work, I hope to share not only the beauty of this fleeting moment, but the quiet harmony between human and nature — to remind us how deeply we are shaped by the natural world, and how essential it is to preserve it as both refuge and a boundless source of inspiration.
